Francis Oliveira was born in Brazil and in 2014, moved to San Francisco.  He began studying piano with Elisabeth Pereira Bueno at age 7. At age 14 he began classical guitar lessons with Estela Maris Müller. 

 

Francis received his Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Campinas - SP, Brazil.  His course of study was composition, ear and vocal training, classical and popular piano, improvisation and conducting. 

 

Francis is also a pop musician. His last band in Brazil was Anjos de Resgate, one of the most popular Catholic bands in the country, where he was with the band for 6 years touring the whole country. The band played in more than 300 cities, recorded two albums and one live DVD with him playing piano, synth, guitar, saxophone, harmonica and also background singing.  

 

Francis is currently the music teacher at St. Stephen’s School and has been working with Victor Cervantes at HipKids Choir, Rooftop School and Mercy High School.  He is also Assistant Music Director at Mission Dolores Church. His music repertoire goes from Classical to Rock ’n Roll.
